Mikhalkova-Konchalovskaya got married at the age of 19. She said that her father was wary of her desire to connect her life with Kuzmin and did not immediately accept her future son-in-law, unlike her mother. But the director did not interfere with Maria’s early marriage; he even wanted to take on all the costs of organizing the wedding himself, but the girl refused such help – the couple paid for everything themselves.
