According to Italian media, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is confident that the team needs to be strengthened by Shakhtar midfielder Georgiy Sudakov in the winter.
It is reported that Giuntoli was present at the match of the Italian national team against Ukraine in the Euro 2024 qualifying.
Sudakov became the favorite for the sporting director, although the Turin club had previously targeted Domenico Berardi. However, the parties cannot agree on the price, and Juventus decided that it was better to acquire 21-year-old Sudakov and stop fighting for 29-year-old Berardi.
Now the Italian club is ready to sell several players in order to raise money for the transfer of the Ukrainian. Giorgi’s contract does not expire until 2028, so Juventus will have to work hard to make the transition happen.
