HERMOSILLO.- An alleged criminal killed, another detained and the seizure of an arsenal, as well as two vehicles, one of them armored, was the result of an operation carried out in the La Sangre ejido, in the municipality of Tubutama.
Elements of the Ministerial Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC) participated in aid of an operation led by the Sedena in which 15 AK-47 assault rifles, 77 magazines supplied for these weapons and two pick-up vehicles were seized, one of them with armor, to which is added the arrest of an armed civilian identified as Manuel “N.”
According to what was stated, the members of the operation were on surveillance tours when they noticed the presence of several armed civilians aboard two pick-up type vehicles.
The subjects, upon noticing the presence of the authorities, began an armed attack, so the members of the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) repelled the attack, neutralizing one of the attackers, identified as Odorico or Federico “N.” , and achieving the capture of the person who responds to the name of Manuel “N”, while the rest of the subjects fled on foot into the mountains.
At the site, AMIC agents verified the units used by the civilians, one of these a Ford brand pick-up, Lobo line, two doors, late model, white and armored; as well as another Ford pick-up, F-150 line, 2020 model, four doors, white.
Within the aforementioned units, 13 of the 15 weapons were located, since the other two were carried by the neutralized subject and the detainee.
The detainee and everything secured in these actions were placed at the disposal of the corresponding authority.
