Well-known blogger and modder Lance MacDonald has dispelled recent rumors about Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree that have been circulating online.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, an expansion to the game from FromSoftware, is one of the most highly anticipated projects at the moment, and the public is eager to know anything concrete about it. However, the team doesn’t seem ready to talk about it, so we can only rely on leaks.
This is what the anonymous author from 4chan took advantage of, a site known for its fake leaks and fabrications, but sometimes reliable information actually appeared on its pages.
According to this rumor, the Elden Ring expansion will supposedly be a combination of two different locations, and a lot of content is expected, as much as Bloodborne, effectively making the DLC an “Elden Ring Part 2” of sorts. Additionally, with the release of this DLC, the entire game should receive an update similar to what was offered in Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin, with a changed layout and new enemies, moved items and additional events.
Usually, rumors from anonymous people on 4chan do not spread widely, but this time many foreign publications wrote about it and the data miner responded on his social networks by writing that it was simply not true.
