The presence of blood in the urine, or what is known as hematuria, is a medical condition that indicates the presence of red blood cells in the urine. This blood can be visible with the naked eye, or it can only be detected through a urine test.
Urinating blood could be a sign of bladder, kidney, or prostate cancer, according to what the British newspaper “The Sun” reported.
British oncologist Peter Johnson said: “The passage of blood in the urine should not be ignored, even just once, as it could be a sign of cancer, so it must be examined by a specialist doctor.”
Other symptoms of urinary tract cancers include an unusual need to urinate, a burning sensation, difficulty emptying the bladder, or back pain.
Peter advised: “Men should avoid using public toilets, as this puts their lives at risk.”
