In March 2024, the international group Minor Hotels and its luxury brand Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spa will take over the operation of the Palais Hansen in Vienna.
The Minor Hotels group, known from Asia, is continuing its expansion course in Europe and will be taking over the operation of the Palais Hansen with the brand Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas from March 1, 2024 – the first of this brand in Austria.
This marks the beginning of a new era for the magnificent building on Vienna’s Ring, which opened as a hotel exactly 150 years ago for the 1873 World’s Fair: The rooms of the listed building are to be extensively renovated in the first year of ongoing operation, which will place the hotel in the luxury segment repositioned.

The Kempinski Group, which has been operating the luxury hotel on Schottenring since 2013, will run the business until the end of February 2024 before withdrawing from the Vienna market on the best of terms.
