Not all users believed in the performer’s sincerity.
American singer Billie Eilish came out and spoke openly about her sexual orientation.
The artist made the corresponding recognition in conversations with journalists from Variety. In particular, the media worker asked the 21-year-old performer if she was going to come out. To which Billie responded in surprise that she believed that everyone guessed about her non-traditional sexual orientation and that she liked girls.
“I thought it was obvious… I didn’t understand that people didn’t know… I did this for a long time and just didn’t talk about it,” the artist shared.
True, after the article was published, Billie Eilish received a barrage of criticism. Some users accused the celebrity of engaging in queerbaiting, that is, flirting with the LGBT community so that she would have a large army of fans. Such opinions of users were inspired by the fact that the star seemed to be vague about her sexual orientation.
On her Instagram, Billie responded to the hate. She stated that she likes men and women. The artist also asked to leave her alone.
“I like boys and girls. Leave me alone,” the artist wrote sharply.
