Albert Einstein, San Martín and San Antonio joined in the Superior League

The second day of the Women’s Volleyball Superior League ended with great surprises. Albert Einstein took the undefeated record from his native rival, Olympic, in a great match that ended in a tie break. Likewise, San Martin remains firm and San Antonio Galas managed to add its first victory against Olympic de La Paz.

The Cochabambinas put on a top-level show in the first match of the night. There were very few attendees, but the match lasted 2 hours and 24 minutes, so there was time for fans to get to see the last and most heart-stopping points.

Albert Einstein’s players defeated the current runner-up, Olympic de Cochabamba, 3-2 with partial results of 25-17, 24-26, 13-25, 25-21 and 18-16. The fifth and final set was crazy.

Two unforced errors by the Olympic players, a failed serve and a double fault, when the score was at its last, were fatal, giving the victory to the Einsteins, who ultimately played more confidently in those last points.

The second match was won by the defending champions, San Martín, against UTO, from Oruro. It was a shorter and calmer match, which ended 3 to 1 (25-17, 25-18, 13-25 and 25-17). They fell in the third set, but managed to recover without much difficulty.

The last match was a classic from La Paz and the victory went to San Antonio Galas against Olympic, 3-0 (25-22, 25-21 and 25-19). It was a bit close, but nothing that the current local champions couldn’t overcome.

Today’s matches will be: Olympic La Paz vs Albert Einstein at 4:30 p.m.; UTO vs San Antonio Galas at 6:30 p.m. and to finish the third date Olympic CBBA vs. San Martín at 8:30 p.m.
