Arteta will not be on the bench this Saturday at Villa Park to face Aston Villa

Mikel Artetatechnician Arsenalwill miss next weekend’s game against Aston Villa due to accumulation of yellow cards.

The Spanish coach received the third yellow card of the season for jumping onto the pitch to celebrate the goal of Declan Rice in the 97th minute against Luton Town.

“I couldn’t sit still. It was out of pure emotion. If it’s yellow… it’s yellow,” Arteta said in Bein Sports after the meeting.

Arteta is also awaiting a possible sanction from the English federation (FA), after his comments after the 1-0 defeat against the Newcastle United in November, when he said the refereeing was “a disgrace” and “a disgrace.”

The Spaniard had to plead until ten days ago and is awaiting a decision from the FA.
