With an extremely successful world tour and accompanying concert film, she managed to expand her empire once again. According to ‘Forbes’, this means that Taylor can now be counted among the most powerful women in the world. She was also on the list last year – in 79th place – but now the singer even reaches fifth place.
According to the magazine, Taylor’s ‘Eras Tour’ concerts in the United States grossed no less than 850 million dollars (almost 788 million euros). She is said to have earned 190 million dollars (176 million euros) from this, increasing her fortune to 1.1 billion dollars (about 1.02 billion euros) in October. ‘Forbes’ also notes that the shows were very beneficial to American cities economically. During the two concerts in Denver, fans spent an average of $1,300 on food, lodging and other items. That yielded 140 million dollars (almost 130 million euros) for the state of Colorado, the magazine says. “Taylor is like a large company that operates in many sectors,” says Carolyn Sloan, a labor economist and professor at the University of Chicago. “Her audience is so young and so female that people have long underestimated how big the economic impact can be. I don’t think anyone doubts that now.”

Swift also raised the box office this year with the ‘Eras Tour’ concert film. It raised 250 million dollars (about 232 million euros) worldwide. According to AMC Theaters Distribution, this makes it the highest-grossing concert film in history.
Taylor Swift is only inferior to four women in the ‘Forbes’ list this year. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen takes pride of place ahead of European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde. United States Vice President Kamala Harris follows in third place. Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, also surpassed Taylor Swift.
