By admitting the two opposition actions of unconstitutionality, the Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Javier Laynez Potisek, suspended the elimination of the 13 trusts of the Judicial power of the Federation (PJF) endorsed in November by the Morena majority in the Congress of the Union.
Therefore, the 15 billion pesos of said funds cannot be used for purposes other than those established by the country’s highest court.
“The suspension requested by the various senators, as well as certain deputies of the Congress of the Union, is granted in the terms and for the purposes indicated in this provision,” he ruled. Laynez Potisek.

In an agreement published tonight, the minister specified that “the precautionary measure will take effect without the need to grant any guarantee, without prejudice to the fact that it may be modified or revoked due to any supervening event.”
Laynez Potisek admitted to processing the unconstitutionality action 214/2023, filed by senators and 220/2023, by deputies of the PAN, PRI, PRD and Movimiento Ciudadano.
