Yermak said there was a “tremendous risk” that Ukraine could lose the war if US support was not continued.
“It will be difficult for us to stay in the same positions and just survive,” Yermak said in a speech at the US Institute of Peace in Washington on Tuesday.

Yermak’s announcement came as the White House resumed efforts to secure additional aid to Ukraine on Monday. At the same time, Congress remains no closer to reaching a compromise agreement that would allow continued funding for Kyiv’s military efforts.
If the US Congress fails to agree on new funding for Kyiv by the end of the year, it will seriously limit Ukraine’s capabilities on the battlefield, the White House budget chief warned lawmakers on Monday.
