Because the little stranger is terribly homesick, the children decide to help him build a radio with which he can contact his family. But the space agency has not gone unnoticed that there is an alien on Earth. They send out their search parties and finally track down ET. They torture the sensitive stranger with countless experiments. Elliott and the other children do everything they can to save their friend. But ET is getting worse by the hour. When Elliott is finally able to get in touch with ET’s relatives, it’s apparently already too late…
