Stimulus checks from the Permanent Fund (PFD) may be received by some residents of Alaska, in the United States. This money is intended to help state residents with their spending at the end of the year.The Permanent Fund money comes from the Permanent Fund of Alaska. This is nothing more than a fund fed by income generated from the exploitation of the state’s natural resources such as oil.
Here it should be clarified that only people who apply for this stimulus can receive it. In this sense, the next deadline to submit applications will be January 1, 2024.
That is, they could qualify for the 2024 PFD payment, even those who did not receive the 2023 payment. Thus, the amounts of PFD money in Alaska depend on the year in which they are received.
If we take last year as a reference, we find that the payments were $3284.00 USD. However, this December the stimulus checks that will arrive will be worth only $1312.00 USD.
But regardless of this, it is still a good amount of money, even if there is a difference of $1972.00 USD.
The PFD announced that it will make two more payments
On December 14, 2023, the first of these two payments will be made. To do this, interested parties must verify the status of their payment on December 6, and thus check when they will receive it.
In case you see that you are eligible on December 6; then you will receive your stimulus check of $1312.00 USD on the 14th.
Meanwhile, the second of these payments will take place on January 18, 2024. To receive them, applicants must meet the residency requirements.
In this sense, they must live in the state throughout the year; and it is not only necessary to be a resident. They must also intend to continue living in Alaska.
If you do not meet these residency requirements, you would not be eligible for this Permanent Fund stimulus check. Meanwhile, Alaskans who have claimed residency elsewhere will also not be eligible.
