Bethesda Softworks has released a major update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. A description of the patch appeared on the company’s official website.
With the update, TES V: Skyrim received support for ultra-wide monitors, as well as optimization for the portable Steam Deck console. In addition, the developers have combined the free mods menu and the Creativity Club microtransaction system into one “Creations” tab. Now users can download modifications and pay for content directly during the game using donated currency – all available mods have been verified by Bethesda. The cost of one piece of fan content ranges from $8 to $25.
Gamers did not like the new “Creations” tab; they were outraged by the cost of paid mods. In addition, players criticized the patch due to the fact that many modifications stopped working with its release. The developers from Bethesda said that they are already solving this problem and advised not to update the game until the fix is released.
