The Peugeot 2008 is one of the best-selling small SUVs in Europe, and now it has received a facelift, an update that gives it a more modern and aggressive look, which will make it even more desirable among buyers.
Even though it is classified as an SUV, the Peugeot 2008 measures only 4.3 meters in length, which makes it maneuverable in the city. In addition, customers prefer such cars for the higher ground clearance and the higher driving position, but also because of the more robust appearance.
Along with this facelift, the 2008 received a completely redesigned front end with LED headlamps and claw-shaped daytime running lights. The front grille has grown and, in the case of the car we tested, integrates the front camera. Being a GT trim, the entire exterior package inspires sportiness, including larger 18-inch wheels. The ceiling is painted in black, which provides a contrasting effect and cuts from the massiveness of the car.
The rear of the car also benefits from LED optical blocks, and the total volume of the trunk is 434 liters, quite a good value for a B-segment SUV.
Peugeot 2008 facelift – What has changed inside?
Once inside the car, the sports seats of the GT trim embrace you and offer very good lateral support. The steering wheel is the one we already know: small, not very round, with cutouts where you can rest your hands. You basically look over the steering wheel, not through it, to read the instrument panel. On this trim, various imitation carbon fiber elements are sprinkled throughout the car, as well as some piano black trim, especially on the center console.
We were happy to see physical shortcuts for the new infotainment system, which is much more responsive than the one previously fitted to the Peugeot 2008. Also a plus is that, no matter which version you choose, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard on the new Peugeot 2008.
Customers who want to buy a Peugeot 2008 will have at their disposal thermal versions on gasoline, but also on diesel. In addition, there are two electric variants, with up to 400 kilometers of autonomy. In Romania, prices for the new Peugeot 2008 start at 23,600 euros including VAT.
