FAJAR.CO.ID, BONE — Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Bahtiar Baharuddin and his staff visited Mattiro Walie Village, Bontocani District, Bone Regency, Tuesday (5/12/2023).
Mattiro Walie Village is 97 kilometers from Makassar City, which can be reached in around 2 hours.
The condition of this village is quite worrying. Starting from clean water which is difficult to obtain, inadequate road access, and unavailable networks. Likewise with Askes education.
On average, people’s pursuits are farming in gardens or rice fields and raising livestock.
During his visit, Bahtiar was welcomed by the ranks of the Acting Regent of Bone A. Islamuddin and the ranks of village officials. Likewise, the residents enthusiastically welcomed it.
During the working visit, Bahtiar attended the first planting of Cavendish bananas and breadfruit.
As is known, the banana planting movement (G2M) is a priority program for the governor of South Sulawesi in alleviating poverty in villages and is also expected to contribute to reducing stunting rates.
During the dialogue, one of the residents, Fajaruddin (51) complained about monkey and pig diseases.
“We often see monkey and pig diseases here. “Please find a way for the community,” he said.
Meanwhile, Asdar (43) complained that the government had not paid attention to the condition of the roads.
“The condition of the road leading to Mattirowalie village. There’s a landslide there, sir. “We ask for your help so that the governor remembers the fifth principle of Pancasila,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hasbi (43), a teacher at Satap 3 Bontocani Middle School, complained about cellular network problems which had an impact on educational development. Likewise in school construction.
