The first versions of the Land Cruiser to be offered during this period are the high trim levels Prestige and Executive, as well as the exclusive First Edition. Additional versions will be provided at a later stage. The appearance of a new Land Cruiser is always a remarkable occasion for Toyota, associated with the introduction of engineering and design innovations that will enhance the legendary model’s impeccable reputation for world-class quality, reliability and durability.

More than 70 years after the launch of the original Toyota BJ, the all-new Land Cruiser returns to its roots with an emphasis on its core quality as a vehicle you can trust to get you to your destination and back home again, even in the harshest conditions.

Traditionally, body-on-frame construction is key to the Land Cruiser’s true go-anywhere character. This continues in the latest generation, with the advantage of Toyota’s new GA-F global platform. The new model has a significant improvement in cross-country ability, with a 30% increase in overall strength and a 50% increase in frame strength.

This provides better response, handling and ride comfort, while the new suspension design allows for better wheel articulation and stylish details allow for more challenging gradients to be tackled. It’s also the first Land Cruiser to use electric power steering, which reduces kickback when driving over rough surfaces and provides smoother, more direct performance and easier manoeuvrability.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser is equipped for serious off-road performance with a Crawl Control electronic locking differential and a combination of two monitors – Multi-Terrain Monitor and Panoramic View Monitor – to help the driver cope with more challenging terrain.

Comfort, connectivity and information on board are ensured with features including a 12.3-inch personalized digital driver panel, a 12.3-inch multimedia screen with the latest infotainment system, a 10-speaker audio system and front heating and ventilation seats.

In addition to the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense active safety systems and driver assistance systems, the new Land Cruiser offers forward cross-traffic alert, a blind spot monitor and selectable driving modes.

The higher Exclusive and First Edition trim levels offer even more technical features, including Toyota’s innovative new stabilizer disconnect mechanism. This changes the state of the front stabilizer bar to improve handling on rough roads, while providing more comfort and easier handling when driving on the road. Other equipment includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a digital rear-view mirror, a JBL premium audio system with 14 speakers and a head-up display.

The First Edition is the pinnacle of the all-new Land Cruiser range, available only in limited numbers and exclusively for customers who reserve their vehicle online during the pre-sale period. It features individual styling with 18-inch wheels, classic round headlights, two-tone Sand or Smoke Blue exterior and First Edition badging. In the cabin, the front seats have special upholstery and stitching.

All three versions – Prestige, Executive and First Edition – are available in the initial sales period, with both five and seven seats. The Prestige and Executive versions share a powerful new exterior design that conveys the car’s fundamental strength and capabilities with a clean and contemporary look that follows functionality. The Executive level is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels with an alternative design in place of the Prestige’s 18-inch wheels.

In Western Europe, the new Land Cruiser is powered by a 204bhp 2.8-litre 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine mated to a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, giving it the power to tow loads of up to 3500kg. In 2025, an electrified 2.8-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine with the Hybrid 48V technology system will be introduced.
