Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda, former soloist of the VIA Gra group, recorded a new song “Metelitsa” in Russian. Upon the publication of a fragment of the composition on social networks, the singer’s fans immediately began to write various comments.
“Why in the enemy’s language?”, “It’s not ours, and it’s not ours,” “But I swore that I wouldn’t sing in Russian,” “Sing in Ukrainian,” “Even if you drink in Russian, you still won’t will be accepted more”, “Svetka is changing her shoes”, “Since when does Svetlana chirp in Russian language?”, “Why the Russian language again?”, “I’ve turned my skis on Russia”, “God, in the language of enemies, I’m going to row money”, “I I’m disappointed, it’s impossible to sit on two chairs,” “Loboda 04/24/23: From now on I will sing in Ukrainian. “I changed my shoes,” users write.
However, some subscribers calmly reacted to the change of language in Loboda’s songs; they just want the singer to sing, in any language.
Let us remind you that in mid-October the singer performed at a corporate event in Dubai, a recording from which spread across social networks. Loboda’s performance consisted entirely of songs in Russian, for which the singer’s representatives had to make excuses. They explained that the singer chose the repertoire performed at the luxurious party at the request of the customer – a citizen of Kazakhstan, the composition of the program is also chosen exclusively by the customer, and the singer performs the compositions in the original.
As reported EADaily, Loboda left Russia last spring. After leaving, the singer broadcast her supposedly tough anti-Russian position. She is trying to live in Latvia, record songs and give concerts. However, Ukrainian colleagues often boycott performances with her on the same stage, forcing her to refuse concerts.
