Ministry of Health Announces 15,900 Killed in Gaza by Israeli Military Campaign

The Ministry of Health of the Hamas terrorist-controlled Gaza Strip has announced that Israel’s military campaign in the Gaza Strip has killed about 15,900 people, most of them women and children, following Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7.

The media has reported that around 5,000 Hamas fighters were killed in this campaign.

When asked about these media reports, one of the Israeli army officials told reporters that “these figures are more or less correct”.

“I’m not saying it’s not bad that [nogalināto civiliedzīvotāju un kaujinieku skaita] the ratio is two to one,” said one of those officials, adding that the use of human shields is part of Hamas’ “core strategy.”

“Hopefully this one [attiecība] will be much smaller” in the next phase of the war, the officials added.

The growing number of people killed and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip have caused outrage in many countries around the world.

Israel launched a bombardment of the Gaza Strip and later a ground invasion to eliminate Hamas after the group’s militants attacked Israel on October 7.

Hamas militants murdered around 1,200 people and kidnapped around 240 more in this attack.

Israel’s ally the United States has warned to do more to prevent civilian casualties as Israeli military operations move into the southern Gaza Strip, where many of the area’s residents have taken refuge after fleeing the northern Gaza Strip.
