Aprilia racer Maverick Vinales say Marc Marquez will make racers with Ducati motorbikes anxious in MotoGP 2024.
Marquez’s debut with Gresini at the official MotoGP test in Valencia drew attention. The 30-year-old racer is in fourth place, far ahead of Francesco Bagnaia as world champion.
The first official test cannot be a benchmark. However, it can be used as a warning to competitors that Marquez will ride a Ducati motorbike next season.
“I’m not surprised [dengan hasil tes Marquez]. “He has the best motorbike and is one of the best racers,” said Vinales as quoted from Corsedimoto.
“He didn’t surprise me at all,” Vinales added.
In particular, this former Yamaha racer warned racers on Ducati motorbikes who would come under direct pressure from Marquez.
“What amuses me is that it will worry other Ducati riders,” said Vinales.
In MotoGP 2024 Ducati will still have six racers. Apart from the two factory racers: Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini, there are also racers from Pramac: Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli, as well as Alex Marquez and Marc from Gresini.
Previously, Ducati Course General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna stated that Bagnaia was still Ducati’s number one racer even though Marquez had six MotoGP titles.
“Not much will change in Pecco, and his goal is to win the World Championship for the third time, a feat that few have achieved,” said Dall’Igna.
