Uber the addition is no surprise. With 118 billion dollar market value Uber is the largest US company not included in the S&P 500, reports Barron’s.

Uber qualified for inclusion in the S&P 500 after its Q3 earnings report showed profitability over the previous 4 quarters on a GAAP basis.

Uber the stock rose 1.72% to $57.35 in regular trading on Friday, and was up another 5.49% to $60.50 in after-hours trading.
