“Deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Northern Fleet, Major General Vladimir Zavadsky, died at a combat post in the special operations zone. Until August 2021, he commanded the 4th Guards Kantemirov Red Banner Tank Division, with which the Voronezh Region established long-standing good relationship,” he wrote.
Gusev expressed his condolences to Zavadski’s relatives and friends and added that the officer was faithful to his duty.
“Wherever his homeland sent him, he showed an example of fidelity to duty, which is evidenced by numerous awards. I am convinced that the name of Vladimir Zavadsky, a brave officer, a true general and a worthy man, will remain forever in the annals of the glory of the Fatherland “, added the governor of the Voronezh region.
It was previously reported that Zavadski hit a mine around 2:30 p.m. on November 28. At the moment, it is not specified where exactly this happened.
