On In a press release, the City of Marseille indicated that it had mobilized to “provide emergency care for residents (evacuated) and their accommodation“. A school located in the immediate vicinity, Boulevard Pardigon, was opened to welcome them.
On the same social network, the president (DVD) of the Metropolis and the Department, Martine Vassal, brought “All (s)we support the victims of the explosion at Chutes-Lavie. Since the Tivoli tragedy, an emergency plan is ready to be triggered as soon as necessary for the Metropolis and the Department. I am available to (the city of) Marseille to mobilize services“.
Same unity displayed by the deputy (Renaissance) Lionel Royer-Perreaut: “Full support for the firefighters and rescue forces who intervened and are still present at the scene of the violent explosion that occurred on rue Pardigon (4th) last night. Thoughts of the 7 victims in care.“
In the morning, the President (Renaissance) of the Region, Renaud Muselier, also welcomed the intervention of the emergency services. “Thank you to the firefighters and law enforcement officers mobilized last night in Marseille, in response to the fire and explosion, in the 4th arrondissement of Marseille. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured, with the hope of a return home as soon as possible for all the evacuees.“
