The artist, Reham Abdel Ghafour, commented on the passing of her father, the artist Ashraf Abdel Ghafour, saying: “The eyes shed tears and the heart grieves, and we are saddened by your departure, and we only say what pleases our Lord. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
She wrote on her official Facebook page: “I can’t believe it, by God, that I am writing about you like this… I will miss you so much, my love,” adding:
“My father, my beloved, and everything I need in this world has passed away, may God Almighty have mercy on me.”
She explained that the funeral will be today, Monday, after the noon prayer at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, and the burial will be in the family cemetery, in the Al-Wahat Road cemetery on the 6th of October, requesting that Al-Fatiha be recited and prayers for her father.
The artist Ashraf Abdel Ghafour died in a traffic accident yesterday evening, Sunday.
