On December 4, 2023, the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health (Ministry of Public Health) reported on the situation of COVID-19 patients within the country on a weekly basis, latest update week 48, between November 26 – December 2, 2023, that there were new patients admitted. An additional 536 people were hospitalized, or an average of 76 people per day. The cumulative total of patients admitted to hospital was 36,204.
Meanwhile, there are still 88 people infected with pneumonia this week, and 70 patients who need to be intubated.
As for the number of deaths in this 48th week, there were 3 people, an average of 1 person died per week, totaling 826 deaths since the beginning of 2023.
Reporters reported that previously the government’s COVID-19 Information Center reported that from information on the situation of the spread of COVID-19 in Thailand by the Epidemiology Division of the Department of Disease Control over the past week.
