Bamberg’s cinemas have been recognized for their diversity of programming. This was announced by state parliament member Melanie Huml. This comes with a financial subsidy: the cinema receives 15,000 euros and the Odeon 10,000 euros. “Cinema is much more than watching films on a big screen, cinema is an experience for the whole family. In order to ensure an attractive cinema landscape in Bavaria, I have advocated that we support the program bonuses through special funds from our CSU parliamentary group initiative. I’m particularly pleased that our Bamberg cinemas are also benefiting from this,” said Huml.
The award committee of the Film FernsehenFonds Bayern awarded program bonuses amounting to 835,000 euros. 78 cinemas will benefit from this, especially smaller and medium-sized cinemas away from metropolitan areas. To finance the bonuses, the CSU parliamentary group approved special funds from its parliamentary group initiative amounting to 360,000 euros.
