Libreville, Sunday December 3, 2023 (News Gabon) – The Prime Minister wanted to take stock of the contributions received as part of the national dialogue planned for next year.
The call for contributions for the inclusive national dialogue launched at the beginning of last October by the government ended on November 30. At the time of the assessment drawn up on Friday by Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima, it appears that the Gabonese have deposited 17,245 contributions for the future of their country, including 10,000 from residents on the national territory.
From October 2 to November 30, there are many who are there to wash dirty laundry with their families, turn the page on post-election violence and decide to reconnect with living together. They sent their proposals to the government as part of the national dialogue desired by the Transitional Committee for the Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) led by General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
In a presentation to the press, civil society, diplomats and politicians, the minister responsible for institutional reform and in charge of this data collection mission, Murielle Minkoue-Mintsa enlightened the audience on the origins of these proposals which mobilized the Gabonese.
They come, according to her, from businesses, associations, political parties and citizens spread across all the provinces of Gabon and in the diaspora. And the majority of this data reached the ministry by email through the mbova website, a platform dedicated to this mission.
For the member of the government, fifty (50) sectors of activity are concerned by these contributions which target much more sectors such as Education, Health, Social Affairs, Economy, Finance, Governance and the Constitution . To the great satisfaction of the Prime Minister who sees in this mobilization of his compatriots the public interest before particular interests.
“I am satisfied because serious work has been done, knowing that more than 17,000 people have sent and deposited contributions. Which means that this question was of interest to many Gabonese people. Contributions came not only from within the country, but also from outside. Therefore, I am happy,” said Raymond Ndong Sima.
The upcoming dialogue, loudly proclaimed by the new authorities, will be the moment when everyone will leave and put aside their ego, their pride to simply think of being one person: a Gabonese man or a Gabonese woman. It remains for those in power to sort through these contributions and group them by theme in a report which will serve as a working basis for the national dialogue which will be chaired by the Archbishop of Libreville, Mgr Jean Patrick Iba-Ba.
