From December 4 to December 10, the temperature in Belarus will be 5–7 °C below normal, weather forecaster Dmitry Ryabov said on the TV channel ONT.
So, at the beginning of the week Belarus will be in the zone of influence of humid air masses from the Baltic Sea. They will bring cloudy weather with clearing spells and light short-term snow. At night it is expected from –6°C to –12°C, with clearings up to –14°C. Monday afternoon will be from –2°C westward to –12°C in the north, on Tuesday ot –3°C in Grodno region up to –11°C in Vitebsk region.
In the middle of the week the frosts will become stronger. On Wednesday night it will be from –6°C south to –23°C below zero in the north, during the day from –4°C southwest to –12°C northeast.
At the beginning of the second half of the week, weather conditions will continue to determine the area of high atmospheric pressure in which cold air masses will circulate. The weather is expected to be cloudy and clear. Light snow is possible. At night it is forecast from –12°C west to –23°C below zero in the east. On Thursday afternoon it will be from 0 in the southwestern regions to –12°C in the northeast, on Friday from +1°C in Brest to –8°C in Vitebsk.
Next weekend – snow and ice with night temperatures from –5 to –22 degrees.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, thermometers will show a maximum of +3 degrees.
