Julekjappis: Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen spreads Christmas spirit with Dagbladet

Throughout December, Dagbladet’s celebrity editors have a chat with several of Norway’s well-known and beloved celebrities in the “Julekjappis” column. Here they get questions about everything from New Year’s resolutions to the worst Christmas present.

One of those who has chosen to help Dagbladet spread Christmas spirit to the Norwegian people is Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen (36).

NRK profile revealed itself

During the premiere party for “Master of Masters”, she says, among other things, that Christmas this year will be spent working in the children’s ward at Lillehammer Hospital.

HEY HO: Now it’s Christmas again, soon, and certainly overdue time for different versions of well-known and beloved Christmas songs. Linni Meister’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” did not go down well with Dagbladet’s music reviewer. Video: Ørjan Ryland / Dagbladet Show more

– Trying to be reasonable

– It is tough financially for many now. How does it affect this year’s celebration?

– I try to be a bit sensible about it every year actually.

For the 36-year-old, her best Christmas memories are when she is at home with her parents and is in charge of the porridge.

– And your worst Christmas memory?

– It must be that Christmas when I was in Davos before the Tour de Ski. I was alone in a cramped single room at the hotel. Grandmother died early in Christmas, and I was there alone in Switzerland. It felt like I was so far away from my family.

Responds to the slaughter

– What is your strangest Christmas tradition?

– I don’t know how weird it is, me. But I’m not that fond of Christmas food. Mum is Danish so I didn’t grow up with such traditional Norwegian Christmas food. I eat cod for Christmas. My favorite thing at Christmas is a slice of bread with brie and clementine.

For Jacobsen, there is one Christmas present in particular that stands out as a favourite.

– I remember when I got new cross-country skis. I was eleven years old then, I think. I got something that was not inherited. Then I was completely shocked. I had used inherited skis for years, so getting my own – it was absolutely sick.

– Don’t need you

For many, it may be important to have a Christmas film or two to get in the mood, but this is not the case for Jacobsen.

– I didn’t grow up watching TV at Christmas. In my childhood, we never watched TV, so it’s not something I absolutely have to watch. I’ve never seen “Three Nuts for Cinderella” for example.

– When were you last happy and when were you last sad?

– Yesterday! I have been in Northern Norway with my girlfriend and visited family, and we had an absolutely wonderful nature experience and time with her.

– The last time I was sad was probably a few weeks ago. Then it was a year since my old trainer died. On these anniversaries I get such a “down”, but that’s really part of life.
