The old Gelendvagen has acquired the features of the newest Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4². Its design has been updated and its off-road capabilities have been significantly improved.
An interesting tuning of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class was carried out in Finland. They decided to modernize the SUV and prepare it for serious off-road use. About it reports Carakoom website.
The car owner wanted a modern three-door Gelendvagen, but the current generation of Mercedes G-Class does not have a short version – it was discontinued in 2011.
The old Gelendvagen was remade in the style of the new charged Mercedes-AMG G63 in the 4×4² off-road version. It received the front part from the modern model: the radiator grille and bumper were replaced, and diode headlights were installed. The rear lights have been replaced.
In addition, off-road attributes of the Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4² have also appeared. The car was equipped with portal axles, which significantly increased its ground clearance. Also noteworthy are snorkels, carbon arch extensions and huge 22-inch wheels with off-road tires measuring 325/55 R22.
The characteristics of the Gelendvagen have not yet been disclosed. For reference, the new Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4² is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 585 hp. With. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reach 210 km/h.
By the way, the Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4² SUV was recently recreated by Ukrainian craftsmen.
