Vice Presidential Candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka Visits Car Free Day

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Vice presidential candidate number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka visit the area car free day (CFD) at the HI Roundabout, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Sunday (3/12/2023).

Together with his wife, Selvi Ananda, Gibran distributed milk boxes to CFD visitors.

Monitoring Kompas.com, residents crowded around Gibran and Selvi. They scrambled to take photos or just shake hands with Gibran.

They also repeatedly shouted and called Gibran’s name. However, residents could not get too close to Gibran because there were a number of aides around Gibran and his entourage.

“Don’t jostle, okay? Be patient, okay. Just from the front, ma’am, not from the side,” said an aide, blocking people who were about to sneak up on the group.

A number of visitors who got milk looked happy, even though President Joko Widodo’s eldest son didn’t say anything.

Meanwhile, Gibran and his wife were accompanied by the Deputy Chair of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zita Anjani, as well as PAN politicians Sigit Purnomo Syamsuddin alias Pasha Ungu and Uya Kuya.
