A 40-foot leisure boat went down in the Bunnefjord on Saturday evening. The man on board made it to shore in a dinghy. The search in the area ended shortly before midnight.
The emergency services received the first report about the accident at Storeflu in Bunnefjord at 10.10pm on Saturday evening after several people had seen light signals in the area.
– It was first reported about a boat that may have sunk. We got that confirmed. Now a man has come forward who has explained that he owned the boat, and that he got ashore in a dinghy, on-duty rescue manager Andreas Bull at the Southern Norway Rescue Center tells NTB.
The man has explained that he was alone in the boat and that he is safe.
HRS states that the search for other people ended shortly before midnight on the night of Sunday.
Both the rescue helicopter, police helicopter, police boat and rescue boat took part in the search on Saturday evening. The police boat found wreckage in the area at 11 p.m.
Storeflu is located midway between Ingierstrand and Nesodden, at the entrance to Bunnefjorden.
