Tsunami expected to hit Filipina and Japan recall earthquake rocked the Mindanao region with a strength of 7.5 on Saturday (2/12) evening.
Reported Reutersthe Philippine Seismological Agency PHIVOLCS said the tsunami waves would hit the Philippines around midnight local time and were expected to last for hours.
Meanwhile, Japanese TV channel NHK said the tsunami wave was expected to reach the west coast of Sakura Country in the early hours of Sunday (3/12) at around 01.30 local time.

Apart from that, NHK also reported that the estimated tsunami wave height would reach one meter.
Previously, an earthquake measuring 7.5 magnitude rocked the Mindanao region, Philippines, on Saturday (2/12) evening at around 22.37 local time.
Quoted from Reuters, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (ESMC) said the earthquake hit Mindanao with a depth of 63 kilometers (39 miles).
In addition, the American tsunami warning system issued a tsunami warning after the earthquake rocked the Philippines.
So far there have been no reports of victims of the earthquake.
