A company from Lusatia was awarded the “Brandenburg Future Prize” yesterday evening. The Bosig Baukunststoffe GmbH from Elsterwerda was honored for its innovative system solutions. The company relies on innovative insulation technologies and runs its own development department. Bosig produces a functional material from residues from the polyurethane foam industry, the Phonotherm board. Every year, over 8,000 tons of waste materials are produced into new panels with a life cycle of more than 50 years. These residues would otherwise have to be taken to waste incineration plants or landfilled. This is bad for the environment. All resulting production residues (edge sections, sanding dust, missing panels) are 100 percent returned to the
The production process has been recycled, so Bosig does not generate any waste.
And these are the other winners:
Helmut Magdeburg GmbH from Oranienburg
The specialist for electrical and lightning protection systems impresses with both its strong sales and personnel growth. The number of trainees has more than doubled in the last four years. This development is due not least to the offer of trainee exchanges and trainee training trips. The guiding principle of “give and take” is expressed in the strong employee orientation. From the very beginning, the company’s goal was to live out enthusiasm for craftsmanship in a cross-generational, supra-regional community with family roots. This vision made Helmut Magdeburg GmbH a role model in the industry. The craft business offers everything from a single source. From planning to execution, revision and service. The company was founded in 1982 by Mr. Helmut Magdeburg as a lightning protection service provider. More than 70 employees work in the company.
Tinglev Elementfabrik GmbH aus Altlandsberg
Tinglev stands for the lightweight nature of solid houses. From planning and advice to production, freight and assembly. Components are prefabricated in the factory and then simply placed on the construction site. With impressive creativity and technological expertise, the company has managed to establish itself as a pioneer in the industry. In the globalized world, the family-run, medium-sized company has been countering this for 20 years. In recent years, CO2 consumption has been reduced by more than 13 percent. The employees are constantly working to optimize the use of materials, processes and resources. As one of the largest employers in the Märkisch-Oderland district, Tinglev invests in training its own skilled workers, among whom, atypically for the construction industry, there are increasingly women. Targeted measures and initiatives such as working with exoskeletons create a positive working environment that strengthens employee engagement and motivation.
Gas Neumann Liefertechnik GmbH from Bestensee
120 years of successful family tradition in the fourth generation: Alexander Neumann is an entrepreneur who is passionate about his industry, who can demonstrate impressive development in sales and employee numbers and who gives young people a chance. The training company has a high level of innovative strength. This year, a new type of construction project with a huge ice storage facility was implemented. Energy is drawn from freezing water, which then feeds heat pumps. More than 30 homes are supplied with heat in this way. The company’s business registration goes back to a document signed by the emperor for the operation of gas lanterns in Old Berlin. Such an inheritance can sometimes be a burden. That’s not the case with Neumanns. Each owner set their own accents over the years and thus ensured the success of the company. Alexander Neumann, for example, attaches great importance to training and further education and to retaining its own skilled workers. This includes many measures such as free use of a trainee vehicle, financing of driving licenses, subsidies for bus and train tickets, holiday and Christmas bonuses and regular further training.
TILSE GmbH aus Nennhausen OT Liepe
TILSE impresses in many ways and, as a hidden champion, shows what is possible with glass as a material. The company focuses its products and services on the maritime sector and produces unique safety laminated glass that is particularly installed in yachts. Here the company has worked its way to the top of the world market. Everything comes from a single source: digital measurements on site, design and production of individual tarpaulins or curved panes and worldwide installation. What particularly sets Tilse GmbH apart is not just the technology, but the dedication to detail and the pursuit of perfection. Each piece of safety laminated glass is crafted with precision and passion, and the result is not just a product but a work of art that highlights the elegance and luxury in the yachting world. The company has been growing at its location in Havelland for 20 years. Great value is placed on the qualification of employees, the training of young people and the support of local sports clubs and facilities.
GOLEM – Kunst und Baukeramik GmbH from Jacobsdorf OT Sieversdorf
Founder Tomas Grzimek formed a company without which the majority of the restorations of Brandenburg churches would have been unthinkable. In the 1990s, GOLEM mainly produced bricks according to painstakingly reconstructed “original recipes”, but production shifted to hand-made tiles from the Wilhelminian era and the restoration of historical buildings. Today the company is the only one in Europe and the world that produces tiles from these eras true to the original and offers a wide range of products. Whether in Copenhagen Central Station, the Hackesche Höfe in Berlin, the London Harrods department store, in churches in Vienna or Prague or New York skyscrapers – GOLEM products can be found everywhere. Through its work and innovative strength, the craft business has made a decisive contribution to the preservation of hundreds of great architectural monuments in Brandenburg, Europe and the world.
