This Friday saw the clash at the top of the Saudi Pro League, and Al-Hilal took the opportunity to increase their lead at the top of the standings by winning 3-0 against Al-Nassr.
Al-Hilal is of course deprived of Neymar, injured, but the team led by Jorge Jesus has other weapons. It was Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who opened the scoring with a beautiful header (64th). Shortly after, Cristiano Ronaldo thought he could equalize, with this lovely volley from a cross from Sadio ManΓ©. But the Portuguese was offside by a few centimeters, and his goal was refused by the VAR. To the great dismay of his coach Luis Castro, who tried to plead CR7’s cause by showing a slow motion to the referees via his smartphone.

At the end of the match, Al-Hilal hit the nail on the head with a double from another Serb, Aleksandar Mitrovic (89th, 90th+2). And this is the end of the series for Al-Nassr, who had five consecutive victories in the championship.
For Cristiano Ronaldo, the evening ended with chants in praise of Lionel Messi, launched by Al-Hilal supporters, as the Portuguese left the field to go to the locker room. He responded to them with little kisses ironically sent towards the stands.
