This is just the tip of the iceberg: why the frequency of heart attacks is increasing in the world, the doctor explained

Doctors explained the high incidence of heart attacks among young people

Over the past decade, an alarming trend has been observed – the number of cases of heart attacks is increasing every year. Moreover, it is not only the elderly who suffer, but also young people. Cardiologist Nick Linker told the Daily Mail about this.

He noted that over the past ten years, the number of heart attacks among 20-24-year-olds, 30-34-year-olds and 35-39-year-olds has increased by almost 25%.

Experts attribute the disappointing trend to several factors, including obesity. It turned out that excess weight leads to “clogging” of the arteries through the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, which can cause a cessation of blood flow in the coronary arteries. Risk factors also include smoking, vaping and alcohol abuse.

The doctor added that in general, men are more susceptible to developing a heart attack than women. Among the primary symptoms:

  • dizziness and nausea;
  • dyspnea;
  • persistent chest pain and heart rhythm disturbances;
  • cold sweat;
  • loss of consciousness.

Earlier we named a juice that can save a person from a heart attack and even sudden death.
