When you buy eggs at the store, you might be surprised at how much they have gone up in price recently. Yes, the times when it cost one or two crowns will probably never return. But take it as the current prices are closer to normal, which is also related to the fact that we don’t want them, for example, from hens in cage farms. In addition, you can somehow justify the higher price. For example, by using the packaging in which they are packed.

It’s a shame to throw them away

Many people treat egg wrappers as simple waste, which they throw away immediately after consuming the contents. But that is a big mistake. If you don’t want to use it any other way, then at least put it in your home compost. As soon as you mix it with the rest of the organic material, it will decompose and absorb beautifully. In fact, it will continue to serve that way.

The egg wrapper is also great in the garden, where you can use it to mark the edges of flower beds or paths. They also replace the mulch treatment very well. They will gradually turn brown without threatening anything.

A great effect in the garden

Another method is also closely related to the garden and will be familiar to all amateur and professional gardeners. There is no better material to germinate the seeds before planting. You put the seed in one of the holes and let it germinate. Subsequently, the time will come for transplanting, when the shape of the packaging is suitable again. It is enough to cut it and transplant it together with the plant into the flower bed. The cardboard cover will ensure that the plant sticks very well and will gradually decompose itself.

On the Internet, you can find literally hundreds and thousands of ways to creatively use egg wrappers in the home. Housewives do incredible things with them. Just let your imagination run wild. And if you can’t think of anything, why not use the packaging as recycled organizers for various small things, such as buttons, rubber bands or pins. It is also an excellent material for children, who can learn to work with it and create interesting pieces from it.
