The police reported that the young man He is accused of the murder of his father, Jonathan Rivera, 38, his partner Hanoi Peralta, 33, and his half-brother Kayden, just 5 years old.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday at an apartment building located at 674 E. 136th Street, in Mott Haven, in the Bronx.
The police received a 911 call for help and went to the place where they found the father of the family, originally from Puerto Rico, dead in the hallway.
Hanoi and his son Kayden were found inside one of the apartments.
Jayden was charged with three counts of murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to local media, Jayden would have been left that day in the care of his half-brother while his father and his partner left the home.
Hours later the triple homicide occurred.
Jayden arrived at a local hospital with injuries to his arms and had remained in custody until now.
Several came to the doors of the building to leave balloons, flowers and candles with messages.

On Tuesday, Kayden’s grandfather, Miguel Ángel Rivera, remembered him fondly. “That was my baby. That was my baby. He saw me and he saw his dad,” he told Univision 41.

He deeply regretted not having been able to share a last coffee with his son Jonathan. “I always made coffee for him, I have the cup in my car, drinking from it,” she said.
