Souhrn z PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted 2023 » Vortex

In a week, the highly anticipated The Game Awards 2023 will take place, which will probably be the last big announcement event, but before that there was a presentation of PC Gamer magazine. This time it was called PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted 2023 and promised 25 interesting and yet unreleased games. However, as it turned out, we didn’t always get the news, i.e. their trailers, videos or information. But there were still interesting games, and many of them are among the expected ones, and they were also accompanied by other smaller titles. Well, the prospects for the gaming year 2024 are already more than interesting, and we still have no idea what is in store for us. However, what did the PC Gaming Show have in store? Let’s look at it.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

According to PC Gamer, the most anticipated game of next year is STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl from GSC Game World. Of course, this is still being worked on under ideal conditions, which is why the game received the necessary delays, but now the second STALKER is even more important for the developers and means a kind of national product for them, as was said in the opening conversation. However, this was followed by a story trailer, which allowed a little more insight into the inhospitable world, its atmosphere and all the dangers that await lone fighters and players. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in the first quarter of 2024.

Frostpunk 2

Another slideshow, another snippet from the highly anticipated sequel to Frostpunk. This time, the developers shared a short look at the ever-growing city and the first example of gameplay, as they called the short teaser. Frostpunk 2 will be released next year, but unfortunately we still don’t know anything about the specific release date. So hopefully we will get more information soon.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

The sequel to Bloodlines 2 was announced again quite recently, and although it is not expected to be released until the fall of 2024, the developers from The Chinese Room studio (that is, the developers and the other game presented here, Still Wakes the Deep) are making progress and after years of silence, they are supplying the hoping and waiting fans with news . They have already introduced us to the protagonist named Phyre and are gradually revealing the individual clans. In the new trailer, the Banu Haqim clan also got to speak and we could see another dark corner of Seattle, in which we will wake up after a long sleep and try to control it. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in addition to PC.

Gray Zone Warfare

We also received another sample from the recently announced Czech shooter Gray Zone Warfare by Madfinger Games, which will take us through the city and the jungle and show not only clashes and firefights with enemies, but also survival. The game should arrive on PC in the course of next year and we covered it in a separate article.

Still Wakes the Deep

The first to show was the horror game Still Wakes the Deep from The Chinese Room studio. This time, however, it was not directly about the game itself, its plot, gameplay or graphics, but the musical side. This is handled by composer Jason Graves, who described how he approaches composing the soundtrack in this case. The story of the game takes place on an oil platform in the middle of the ocean, where something unpleasant happens. Graves tries to create a companion in such a way that it causes real terror in the players with its unnaturalness and inhumanity. At the same time, he noted that nothing compares to working with musicians. In any case, the recording itself is interesting, even for its atypicality, so be sure to watch the video as well, or longer directly from the developers. The game will be released on PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 early next year.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Yakuza is unstoppable. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name was released three weeks ago, and the eighth volume of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is waiting for us right around the corner of 2024. We already had the honor of the story and gameplay in the earlier trailers, but when it comes to Like A Dragon, there is never a shortage of interesting and unexpected situations, so the game came out with another story trailer. And yes, again, it’s crazy, how else? Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth releases on January 26, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. In addition, we recently had the opportunity to try out the game, and you can read our impressions of the game here.

Homeworld 3

It’s been a while, but Homeworld 3 is finally coming. The sci-fi real-time strategy from Blackbird Interactive will be released on March 8, 2024, and will hopefully successfully follow the more than 20-year-old two. Chances are good considering how many former developers have reunited in the new studio. On the occasion of the announcement of the release date, pre-orders have also been launched, which include Fleet Command or the collector’s edition, which will allow owners to play the game from 72 hours earlier. In today’s chat, the developers confided in their ambitions and vision for a game that was impossible to make 20 years ago, but is today. And that’s exactly what they tried to do. After all, we will find out quite soon how this megalomania worked out for them.

Everywhere

Everywhere doesn’t even need to be introduced, although it is true that the current conversation helped to shed light on some things again. Everywhere is a game from Build a Rocket Boy and former GTA producer Leslie Benzies, while it is also a kind of platform in which other games will be created, one of them is another game from MindsEye studio. And what did we learn today? The basis is a third-person shooter, skins, matchmaking and more, but by far the most important are the players and the content they create. The game includes a rich level editor called Arcadia, which allows much more than just placing objects, but also manipulating AI, audio or even code. It is also possible to create individual parts, which can then be donated to other players or sold for in-game currency, if your creation is then used as part of something else, you will also receive some kind of reward. The developers have indeed prepared a huge sandbox full of possibilities for the players. The game will be released in 2024 on PC and later on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, now the first closed alpha will take place on December 5.

Bye

Magical, playful and lovely Tchia, set in sunny New Caledonia, has so far been available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and on PC through the Epic Games Store, but in March 2024, a year after its release, we will also see it on Steam. You can recall our review here.
