Příbram’s Points Deduction and Appeal: Impact on Second League Standings

According to Sport.cz, the reason for the deduction of points is unpaid debts to players who no longer work at the club. It is most likely two cases, for each of which the Ethics Commission over Příbramí issued a two-point penalty.

“We will certainly appeal. We communicated with the Ethics Commission, we gave them our point of view. Now we will solve the case with the Appeals Committee,” said Sport.cz head of FK Příbram Jan Starka. The club has 5 days from its delivery to file an appeal against the decision of the FAČR Ethics Commission.

If the Appeals Committee found the Ethics Committee to be right, it would mean a huge difficulty for Příbram in its attempt to return to the top competition. After the fall, it is in fourth place in the second league, with a loss of 8 points to the leader Vyškov. He has the same 26 points as the third-placed Táborsk (note – the third place ensures participation in the play-off).
