Batu – Dewanti Rumpoko, wife of the Mayor of Batu for the 2007-2017 period, Eddy Rumpoko, said that the deceased admitted that he had diarrhea after eating chicken porridge before he died.
Dewanti conveyed this after the funeral procession for the deceased at TMP Suropati Batu City, Thursday, November 30 2023.
“So a few days ago, my father had diarrhea, maybe he ate the wrong thing. Then he almost became dehydrated, and finally he was referred to the hospital. I just waited last night and finally found out that his father was (died),” said Dewanti.

Dewanti revealed that the last time the late sumainya ate chicken porridge with 4 of her friends. At that time, I bought 5 portions, 2 did not use chili sauce and 3 did not use chili sauce.
“Well, everyone who used the chili sauce had diarrhea, but because the two friends were still young, it wasn’t too serious. Even though you also don’t have a history of stomach ulcers, maybe it was the chili sauce,” said Dewanti, who was Mayor of Batu for the 2017-2023 period.
Even so, Dewanti admitted that she was sincere about her late husband’s passing. In fact, he did not have any inkling before the deceased died.
“God willing, I’m sincere, only at last I was able to tell me that he would be going home to Batu City soon. I thought it would be nice, but it turned out he was actually going back to Batu City, which he loves,” said Dewanti.
Previously, Eddy Rumpoko died at Dr. Hospital. Kariyadi Semarang, Central Java at 05.30 WIB. The deceased was treated for approximately 2 days before his condition collapsed and finally died due to illness.
