Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Position of Prime Minister Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu is now increasingly difficult amidst pressure from many parties over its failure to prevent conflict with the Palestinian Hamas group.
Netanyahu’s cabinet was deemed to have failed to maintain national security after the Hamas militia launched an attack and took hostages in the Israeli border area with the Palestinian Gaza Strip on October 7. In that attack, Hamas took more than 200 people hostage in Israel, including dozens of foreigners.

This attack sparked Israel’s war and brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip which has now killed more than 15 thousand Palestinians, including more than 6 thousand children and 4 thousand women.
In early November, Netanyahu’s residence was surrounded by protesters because of public anger over the deadly Hamas attack.
Reporting from Reuters, the crowd carried blue and white Israeli flags while chanting “Jail now!” while trying to break through the police barricades.
More than three-quarters of Israelis also demanded Netanyahu resign, as public anger at political leaders and threats to their safety emerged.
This time, protests and demands for resignation also came from three former Israeli Prime Ministers, aka Netanyahu’s predecessors. Following are the three former PMs:
1.Ehud Barak
Former Israeli political, military and intelligence official, Ehud Barak expressed his doubts about Netanyahu’s leadership.
Barak described last month’s terrorist attack as the worst blow that Israel has experienced since the country’s founding until now, quoted from The Guardian.
Barak called for Netanyahu to be fired as Prime Minister of Israel because he was no longer fit to lead.
Netanyahu must step down before the consequences of his failure are irreversible.
Barak stressed the formation of a national unity government without Netanyahu and right extremists.
The deaths of tens of thousands of people paralyzed the imagination and morale of the Palestinian and Israeli people for the creation of peace.
“The right way is to look at a two-state solution, not because of justice for the Palestinian people, which is not my top priority, but because we have an urgent imperative to disengage from Palestine in order to protect our own security, our own future. , our own identity,” said Barak, quoted from Time.
