BRONX, NY .- A terrible scene after an alleged road rage in New York.
Lillibeth Vasquez, 28, of Allentown, has been charged with murder after running over 23-year-old Robert Jimenez in the Bronx, New York.
The New York Post and other media outlets are calling the incident a case of road rage, saying Vasquez became enraged after Jimenez, on a moped, hit his car… knocking down the mirror.
It happened at Fox and Intervale streets in the Longwood section shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday.
According to police, the victim was taken to the hospital with severe trauma and could not be saved.
Witnesses allegedly said Vasquez was speeding and intentionally driving the wrong way on Fox Street when he crashed his Civic into Jimenez.
According to the family, Robert Jimenez was just two months away from becoming a father.
According to authorities, the investigation is still ongoing and according to other media outlets, neighbors have left candles and flowers outside Jimenez’s apartment.
