Edwin Evers returns to Radio 538 after five years. The 52-year-old radio maker will present the program on Fridays from February 2 Evers & Cotogether with sidekick Cobus Bosscha and newsreader Henk Blok.
The radio maker previously presented the morning show for 21 years Evers Gets Upincluding eighteen years at Radio 538. He made the last broadcast on December 21, 2018.
Evers announced five years ago after 21 years Evers Gets Up to look back on “an insane period” in his life. “After more than two decades of morning radio, I want to reconsider and think about the future,” he said at the time. The morning show won several Marconi Awards and received the Golden Radio Ring in 2006.
When Evers was approached by program director Dave Minneboo at the end of September and asked if he wanted to create a Friday afternoon show, a long-cherished wish came true. “I always had the mode: if something came along that I thought was really great, where everything was 100 percent correct, then I would think about it. We figured it out pretty quickly,” says the radio maker.
Since leaving Radio 538 in 2018, Evers has not had a regular program on the radio. The presenter could occasionally be heard on various channels. In recent years he has mainly focused on making music.
Evers & Co can be heard on Radio 538 from February on Fridays between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
