A corrected version of Final battlethe Dutch version of the new book by British writer Omid Scobie about the British royal family, will be available in stores from December 8.
You can read this on the Xander Uitgevers website. Final battlea translation of Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survivalwas withdrawn from the market on Tuesday because “an error occurred in the Dutch edition”.
The book is about, among other things, the revelation that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made to Oprah Winfrey two years ago. The couple said at the time that people within the royal family were concerned about the skin color of their son Archie and the consequences that could have. They didn’t say who it was.
Royalty expert Rick Evers was the first to notice that the Dutch version of the book stated that King Charles and Kate Middleton allegedly made a comment about Archie’s skin color. In the original version no names are mentioned, but it is about “two members of the royal family with an important title”.
Scobie gods in RTL Boulevard that he never mentioned a name and that a translation error may have been made. The publisher calls this “a special comment”, but is currently investigating what exactly went wrong. “We are doing everything we can to get to the bottom of the matter, especially because it is sensitive.” It is not clear how long the investigation will last.
British newspapers launch a Dutch translation
Earlier on Wednesday, X reported that not all bookstores have yet to do so Final battle withdrawn from the market. According to Xander Uitgevers, not everything can be checked.
The Dutch version of the book causes a commotion in the United Kingdom. A large number of newspapers featured this on their front pages on Wednesday.
