Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitanreturned to Jakarta to attend the inauguration of his son-in-law, General Maruli Simanjuntak as Army Chief of Staff. In the past, Luhut was said to have aspired to become Army Chief of Staff.

While still active as a TNI soldier, Luhut, Maruli said, dreamed of becoming Army Chief of Staff. Luhut’s previous wish was not achieved, but Luhut’s dream can be realized by himself as his son-in-law.
“Yes, if we are brought by the family, Pak Luhut also has aspirations to become Army Chief of Staff,” said Maruli after the inauguration at the State Palace, Wednesday (29/11).
“Only the in-laws are enough now,” he added.
Maruli said Luhut would undergo treatment again in Singapore today.
“Maybe there is an event at home in the evening, then tomorrow (today) he will return (to Singapore),” he said.
