Hamas invites Elon Musk to visit the Gaza Strip to see the destruction caused by the onslaught of Israeli troops. The invitation was conveyed by Hamas seniors after Elon Musk supported Israel.
“We invited him to visit Gaza to see the impact of the massacre and destruction on Gaza society, in compliance with standards of objectivity and credibility,” said Hamas senior, Osama Hamdan, in a press statement in Beirut, Lebanon, reported by Reuters, Wednesday (29/11/ 2023).
Elon Musk himself was accused of being anti-Jewish due to his posts on social media. He is the owner of social media X. Then on Monday (27/11), Musk visited the scene of the Hamas attack on Israel. That’s when he expressed his support for Israel.
Hamdan’s comments came one day after a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was extended for 48 hours.
“In 50 days, Israel dropped more than 40,000 tons of explosives on the homes of defenseless Gazans,” he said.
“I call on US President Biden to review US relations with Israel and stop supplying them with weapons,” he continued.
Speaking about the destruction Gaza has experienced since the conflict began on October 7, Hamdan asked the international community to immediately send a special civil defense team to help evacuate bodies still trapped under the rubble. According to the Palestinian Foreign Ministry, thousands of people are still trapped.
The ceasefire agreed last week was the first cessation in seven weeks of fighting since Hamas attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking about 240 hostages back to Gaza, according to an Israeli tally.
