Fifth win in the fifth game?

On the 5th matchday FC Copenhagen is a guest at the UEFA Champions League FC Bayern Munich. Kick-off in the Allianz Arena is tonight at 9 p.m.

Bayern have won all four group games in the premier class and are already confirmed as group winners in Group A before matchday 5. Apart from the painful elimination in the DFB Cup at 1. FC Saarbrücken (1:2), the reigning German champions have won every competitive game since the end of September.

The dress rehearsal for the game against Copenhagen was also successful. Thanks to a goal from superstar Harry Kane (30), the Munich team won 1-0 at 1. FC Köln. It was the 18th goal of the season for the 30-year-old. The captain of the English national team thus surpassed the previous record set by Gerd Müller, who scored 17 goals after twelve games in the 1968/1969 season. Kane is also the first Englishman to play in one Scored 18 goals in the Bundesliga season. Previously, ex-BVB star Jadon Sancho (23) was the most successful Englishman with 17 goals in the 2019/2020 season.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel (50) was surprised because he didn’t make a single change. The 50-year-old explained his decision after the game as follows: “I didn’t feel it today. We were so good in the game and completely controlled it. I didn’t want to interrupt the dominance.” There was even an apology for his substitutes: “I just told the boys: This doesn’t normally happen. They should keep the spirit they showed today and not hold it against me,” said the head coach.

FC Copenhagen is in second place with four points before the game and could take an important step towards the round of 16 with a win. However, the fight for second place will only be decided on the last match day. Galatasaray also have four points. Manchester United are bottom of the group, but still have every chance with three points.
