International Atomic Energy Agency responsible if Israel uses nukes: Iran

Tehran: The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Islami, said that the International Atomic Energy Agency would be responsible for any nuclear attacks on Palestine by the Israeli government.

Mohammad Islami said that the International Atomic Energy Agency will have to take responsibility for any attack by Israel unless it takes a stand against a regime that has not signed nuclear agreements and is constantly violating international law.

The representative of Iran pointed out that the Zionist regime, Israel, is not ready to sign the nuclear non-proliferation agreement and the safeguard agreement.

But Mohammad Islami said that Israel is threatening to use nuclear bombs in the war against Palestine, and powerful nations are keeping silent about it. He noted that Israel is currently estimated to have more than 400 nuclear weapons in its arsenal.

Mohammad Islami added that he hoped that there would be effective actions from the international organizations to ensure international peace and security.

The media reported that Netanyahu called for a credible nuclear threat against Iran in his speech at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. But Israeli government sources said Netanyahu meant a credible military threat.
